Hello health seeker, what if you could achieve your health goals 2X faster using a curious approach that gets you to do less while achieving more, that's based on the science of accomplishment?

I'm going to give it straight up.

It's a phenomenon I call the 1% Effect.

Here's how it works. Mathematically, if we improve something by 1% repeatedly, the compounding effect will get us to 100% in about 70 iterations.

My story about how I discovered the 1% and how it helped to get through a life or death situation.

Here's some good news. Any condition CAN be improved.

You just need to know what 1% change to make in your life that you can consistently do every single day. In a 100 days, you'll be able to see dramatic changes in your health.

Join me in my Solvvs to find out more!

The 1% Improvement Game : Simple Strategies to Overcome Health Issues

We all want to be healthy, and even better, healthier than before. But not all of us get there even though we know what we need to do. Or do we? Proper rest, nutrition, exercise, diet, lifestyle. As simple as it sounds, life makes it hard for us to stick to the game plan. We need a better strategy.

Solvving Framework

Self Introduction, Purpose of this Solvv, Panel Introductions

Purpose: Establish the simplicity of self-care health-care; encourage our live audience as well as future listeners, on taking personal responsibility towards their health; give them the simplest yet most effective steps on healing and health maintenance.

Theme: Healthy Aging & Healing

Opening:
Consistent improvement, even with just a 1% increase is sufficient to create massive change within a reasonable time period. If you do the math, at 1% improvement per day, in 70 days, you get a 100% improvement. In a year, 37x (3,700%). Sound simple, but not as easy to do.

Yet we shouldn't underestimate what it takes to create a 1% improvement consistently. My simple philosophy is that the game of healing requires that we navigate 3 stages successfully.

First, we need to catch and stop the decline. Second, we need to be able to stabilize it - that means equilibrium, homeostasis, regulation, getting into parasympathetic. Then only does this condition form a stable base for improvement, which is the 3rd stage.

As a simple illustration: It doesn't work to improve by 1% through exercise, if we then allow the body to overexert by 2% later through the day. The better strategy is to stop the decline first (in this case, the lifestyle component that caused the overexertion) - as an active approach - then stabilize it so it no longer requires active intervention  - and then work towards the 1% improvement.

(some heath goals do not make sense beyond a 100% improvement, for example - becoming 100% pain free vs 200% pain free - doesn't make sense. Whereas some other aspects can always have room for more improvement - such as better vitality, better endurance, etc)

Generally Healing and Recovery, and Maintenance goals can be bound within a 100% target, whereas Optimization can go beyond 100%

For the purposes of this Solvv, let us address the very first one - getting to 100% by improving just 1% each cycle - day, week, session..

Focusing Questions:

There are a few questions to be addressed before we can attempt this game of improvement.

The first question is: WHAT needs to be done in order to obtain that 1% improvement. It might be an evolving thing as your improvement journey progresses. The actions you do today that reap 1%, may no longer be able to get you to the next 1% - how will you know how to improve?

The second question is: HOW to achieve consistency in the game plan in order to normalize and stabilize the progress achieved, and to continue improving further from there.

SO we need the right knowledge, and we need an effective and sustainable plan.

With that said, I'd like to bring our focus back to the title of this Solvv.

The 1% Improvement Game: Simple Strategies to Overcome Health Issues

Can we shed some light on what are some of most practical strategies - the practitioner's holy grail so to speak - to consistently, and very effectively halt the decline in our health condition, stabilize and then initiate healing into recovery.

Is there a universally guaranteed regime that will work 99% of the time to create positive results that can only compound with time?

Let's see if we can Solvv this!

Rasathi | Ja-on Hillman | Hang Wang | Chantel Porter

So let's invite our Panelists into the discussion:

// 1st Panel insights & Tips:

Rasathi, as an Emotional Intelligence Coach, what would you teach your clients and students, when it comes to creating a sustainable personal self-care routine?

Ja-On, as a health practitioner, I'm keen to draw on your practising experiences. What would your go-to regimen look like for yourself, or when you're advising clients who want to "reset" their body?

Qi Master Hang, as a Qi Healer & Herbalist, what would you say is a healing regimen that is relatively easy to do, can work for anyone, and yet have the potential to create profound improvements over time?

Chantel, as a Self-love & Rewilding coach, it is my pleasure to hear what your favourite strategies are when it comes to creating a personal self-care routine that's a joy to follow through and in harmony with nature's healing rhythms.

// 2nd Panel insights & Tips:

I love what we have all brought to the table.

Next I'd like to open up the topic on what is your vision for health. As experts and practitioners, your concept of health is going to be much more refined than the general person on the street.

And here I would like to take the opportunity to present perhaps a greater, more beautiful and hopeful picture of what it really means to be in good health.

My goal is to help our audience see possibilities for themselves, and hopefully that will spur them onwards in life where personal health care is a major component of everyday life.

Coming back to our expert panelists, what does true health really look like, and what kind of potential does the human body has in this regard?

Rasathi, how do you envision this?

Ja-on, what's your perspective on this?

Master Wang, what does your experience say?

Last but not least, Chantel, can we hear your perspective on this?

Wow! What a Solvv!

Thank you all for creating clarity for all our listeners.

As we're coming to the end, as a wrap up, I'd like to ask our panelists one final question.

What advice would you give to someone who's not been educated in health and healing the way we presented here - your average person on the street if you will - what they can do today to immediately change their health trajectory for the better?

My Key Takeaway:

The beauty about understanding this 1% effect is that it helps us shift our gears from being uncertain about our health progress into that of certainty. It also sets a reasonable time-frame for one to see results, where the focus is on consistency over achieving huge immediate results. On the contrary, we're only shooting for marginal gains. To me, this approach just feels more doable and more sustainable for people with a busy lifestyle.

Thank you so much for joining us in this Solvv, and we'll see you in the next one.

How can we understand beauty as an inner experience?

Beautiful sights, beautiful sounds, beautiful feelings... they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is an inner experience that is, well, beautiful. What exactly is this experience? Is it fleeting, is it real? What does it mean to us? How can we experience more of it? Let's Solvv this one.

Solvving Framework

Self Introduction, Panel Introductions

Purpose: To express the ideas of beauty beyond just the physical; to create a Solvv that is adequately paced and feels warm to listen to.

Theme: Beauty as an Inner Experience

Opening: *Moment of Stillness*

Before we get started, let us enter a moment of stillness as we take in three deep breaths. Breathing in life, and joy of this very moment…

*silence*

Thank you.

For the next segment, I invite all of us to come together as friends in life, and let us freely talk about what makes a beautiful experience worth embracing and remembering.

Let me get the ball rolling by asking each of our friends here:

Think of the word “beauty”. What are some of the words that come to mind when you think of the word beauty? Feel free to talk briefly about it.

Rasathi, would you like to share what came up for you?

And how about you, Charise?

And you, Debbie?

How about you, Vontarius?

I would like to read a poem here:

*Read a poem*

In the perception of beauty
there is an identity and harmony
between the mind and the things.

When the experience of harmony
become so complete,
when the beautiful become so sublime,
a deep realization of that
leads the soul into true mystic state,
and touches the absolute.

— by Dr. Antony Theodore

Now, perhaps to indulge in this a little bit further, would you be able to share with our audience listening in:

In your present reality, today, what would you consider a most beautiful experience to witness, or be a part of?

Would you like to go first, Rasathi?

Next, it’s your turn Charise.

And now to you, Debbie.

Last but not least, Vontarius?

Now coming to feelings:

How would you describe the feelings of when you are in the midst of a beautiful moment, be it in that moment, or even as a reflection?

Rasathi,
would you like to get personal on this?

How about you, Charise?

And Debbie?

And Vontarius, I’m keen to hear from you?

Such HEARTFELT sharings here today that I’m sure a lot of our listeners will resonate with.

Questions from the Audience

  • As a practical person, what is the value of experiencing beauty in everyday life? Could it be deceiving? Should we indulge in it, or should we be wary of it?
  • Another interesting question: Can everyone experience beauty? In what situations would people be unable or less able to experience it?
  • Tying in to the next question.. Rasathi, is beauty from outside, or is it from inside? Are we capable of experiencing beauty, only because firstly it is a quality that is inside us?
  • One final question: How do you incorporate the elements of beauty in your work and every day life, Debbie?

Key Takeaways & Thank You.
